In stock form, this is not possible as the ecu closes the throttle when the brakes are applied, regardless of pedal position. Because this kit allows you to go WOT (Wide Open Throttle) with the brakes applied, it’s possible to make as much torque as your engine\/turbo setup is capable of while at a steady speed. As you can imagine, this is hard on the brakes. Excessive use of this system WILL cause brake wear. Because of the incredible braking system on the R35, you have the ability to ‘hold’ over 850lb\/ft of torque easily!\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eThere appears to be a misconception that this is hard on the clutch, but this is false. ‘Brake Boosting’ is no harder on the clutch than making full boost under acceleration. If your clutch is inadequate then you will have issues regardless.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eIt’s highly recommended that you test the brake boosting while datalogging and later review the logs for knock. Holding an engine at full boost at a steady rpm is harder on things and will make tuning that much more critical. While brake boosting it is possible for the engine to see load in areas of your fuel and ignition maps were not seen on the dyno, and consequently areas of the tune that need to be ‘fine tuned’. When attempting to make double and triple the factory power figures, it’s easy to understand why much of the fuel system needs to be upgraded, especially for those wanting to take advantage of ethanol-based fuels.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eWith a heavy background in automotive fuel systems, T1 has put together a Complete Fuel Solution in order to address every single aspect of upgrading the fuel system. The key component in our kit is undoubtedly the Injector Dynamics FPS1100 which is a SINGLE brushless fuel pump system capable of 2,000whp on ethanol fuels and 3,000whp on race gas. In addition to these impressive power figures the system has the ability to vary pump speed based on fuel demand to avoid overheating the fuel. One major benefit of using this fuel pump setup with the included hanger components is the ability to mount it in the factory fuel tank, which removes the need for an externally mounted surge tank that many other kits require. By doing so, and retaining the OE method of keeping the ‘surge tank’ the pump sits in full, full power runs can safely be made with as little as a couple gallons of fuel in the tank.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe kit comes with all the necessary pre-made lines and fittings for plumbing, none of which require any permanent modification to the car. These include supply voltage, supply current, motor current, flow rate (current and average over the life of the system), internal controller temperature, pump duty cycle, system state, input PWM duty cycle, run time (current and life), and diagnostic states. The solenoid is generally mounted close to the battery. Once mounted, you will simply wire the solenoid inline on the heavy-gauge power cable coming from the battery, and wire in a switched ground (switch included, to be mounted in the rear bumper). You need to make sure your alternator output wire is going directly to the battery now as it will keep the car running when the solenoid is turned off otherwise. When 12v and ground are applied, the two big posts are connected. Your switched ground wire will run from the black wire to the rear of the car, and connected to one pole of the switch. The other pole of the switch will be wired to a chassis ground in the rear of the car.
