These valves are hollow and filled with sodium, designed to withstand even higher temperatures. As the sodium becomes liquid it will transfer heat from the head of the valve to the guide and cylinder. A cooler valve improves the material strength and durability while allowing the tuner more flexibility and a wider range of spark timing advances.
